Reality Check: Putting Lipstick on a Pig....

Greetings puny Earthlings.

I'm not going to talk about the anniversary of 9/11/01 today, I don't like to dwell on the deaths of innocents, merely the crushing of those who did it.

Instead I'm going to talk about words.

They are very powerful weapon.

And like any powerful weapon, if you don't aim them properly, then you don't have a weapon, you have a nasty, self-inflicted wound.

Obama shot himself in the ass this week and began the target of something that normally doesn't hit Democrats, if at all, and I'm talking about a Quayleing.

A Quayleing comes from former Republican VP Dan Quayle, whose every minor misspelling, mispronunciation, and mis-step was blown apart by the Democratic leaning media into major national scandals. Remember p-o-t-a-t-o? How can you forget, the media won't let you!

I'm pretty sure Barack Obama wasn't deliberately smearing Sarah Palin when he made that "lipstick on a pig" comment, because when he's off teleprompter he immediately falls into whatever cliche will help him sound like a prep-school Ivy leaguer has something in common with the God-Gun clinging bitter hillbillies of flyover country.

However, that doesn't excuse him from the Quayleing, because he should have known better.

He should have known that the blogosphere, talk radio, and all the other alternative media outlets were waiting to pounce on any verbal blunders, the way the now radically Democrat Mainstream Media jumps on every unsubstantiated rumour about Republicans or Democratic party talking point as gospel.

Obama should have known that the word "lipstick" is now forever associated with Palin after her little ad-lib at the Republican convention. Any use of the word "lipstick" in a negative context would have been seen as a petty personal attack on her.

Obama should have known, but it was obvious that he didn't care.

Obama expected the mainstream media would protect him. But when the alternative media makes too big a noise, even the MSM, who can ignore 500 tons of yellowcake uranium in Iraq, can't ignore it anymore.

And now Obama's almost on the verge of tears about all those people picking on him with his own words, turning the usual Democrat tactic back against him.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is called karma.

Keep watching the skies, because we're watching you.
